NURSING & RESIDENTIAL CARE SERVICES
Our specialist service is designed to offer TIMELY INFORMATION AND REAL SUPPORT AT A DIFFICULT TIME.
These days many more older people are able to remain living at home with the help of a range of support services. However, there are still many others who for a variety of health and social reasons will need to consider moving to a Care Home that can offer 24 hour care. (This can be either in a Nursing Home or in a Residential Home depending on the type and extent of a person's care needs.)
The choices and decisions involved in planning long term care can be fraught with problems and pressures from all sides. Crucial decisions are frequently made at a time of crisis, often following illness or an accident.
- We aim to enable the person moving to a care home, and close relatives or carers, to gain a better understanding of the choices and options open to them, of their rights, as well as the obligations of the various statutory agencies (Health, Social Services, and the Pensions Service) involved in this process.
- Informed support helps people feel less stressed and more in control of their lives.
- We offer our services to those living in the community, in Hospital or already resident in a Care Home.
- We can also assist someone who wishes to move to or from one area of the country to another- likely to involve dealings with different Local Authorities and Health Authorities.
