BEREAVEMENT COUNSELLING Bereavement counselling is available to anyone aged over 55, who has recently lost someone close to them. The service is run by fully-trained and qualified counsellors, ensuring you receive professional support, as and when you need it. Our counsellors donate their services to Age Concern, enabling us to provide this service to you free of charge. What is the service? Bereavement counselling offers you the chance to talk things through with someone who is a qualified counsellor. They understand what you are going through, and can support you by listening and offering help and advice where appropriate.
The service is available throughout South Lakeland, and you can see a counsellor either in the privacy of your own home, or in a confidential setting at our main offices in Kendal If you would like to find out more about bereavement counselling, for yourself, a freind or member of the family, please contact us and a member of staff will be able to talk things through with you. Who do I phone? You can contact John Maguire, Support Services Manager, by writing to Age Concern, 17 Finkle Street, Kendal, LA9 4AB or telephoning 01539 728118. If John is not available, please leave your name and telephone number. He will return your call. |
